My name is Clancey, but I also go by CJ. My pronouns are She/Her/They/Them.
Originally from Wyoming, I've found my way out to New York. TTRPGs have always been a part of my life, as my father started DMing when D&D first came out. I've been rolling dice since I was 3, but did not start actually playing until I was 10. It's safe to say my father and uncles have played a huge part in shaping the GM I am today.
Besides them, I look to movies and novels to help me set up scenes and provide more intriguing stories. Mystery shows and psychological horrors give the aspect I want of setting up stories and allowing the viewer (or in my case player) to piece the information together without me needing to over explain. I love watching players piece the puzzle together all because of some slight details.
When I'm not playing or GMing, I love playing video games, drawing, and learning ASL.
No story can be told without its characters, so I always strive to incorporate the story around them. I love world building and telling the story along with my players. I strive to have the dialogue and decisions my players make tell the story more than the dice, though one can’t argue with the dice gods when a roll has been made. I also love giving descriptive scenes, focusing on important sensations to give my players a better understanding of the current moment.
